Current Obsession: Cover Fx's Illuminating Finish Bronzer

(Photos courtesy Cover Fx) Brush not included with powder. We've never been ones to hit up the tanning salon or apply copious amounts of self-tanner every night. But we can't deny we long for a just-hit-the beach glow. However, between being afraid of getting wrinkles (thus bathing in sunscreen) and the polar vortex that so kindly graced us with its presence last week, we thought a golden glow was not in our future anytime soon. Although that's heartbreaking, we have learned a tiny little secret. We can fake that J.Lo glow and not look like the tan mom. With the right makeup, we've managed to avoid looking too much like vampires this winter.

To help us get that instant glow, we've started using Cover FX's Illuminating Finish Bronzer. This handy illuminator gives just a touch of sun-kissed highlights when applied. It's not too dark, so we can avoid looking splotchy, yet it's dark enough to save our pale skin from looking washed out.

Simply take a round powder brush and apply a swipe or two of the Illuminating Finish over your foundation. If you're one of those lucky types, who doesn't have to use foundation, this works well on bare skin, also. Apply the powder to the apples of the cheeks, moving upward toward the temples. It's incredibly simple, yet incredibly effective.
