Current Obsession: Ultimate Coverage Complexion Crème

(Courtesy Becca)I've never been one to wear foundation. I've tried it – it had a pink undertone, and apparently, I have a yellow hue. Regardless, it felt like I was wearing plaster anyhow. I gave up. When tinted moisturizers hit the market, I was in heaven. They evened out my skin tone and I could hardly feel it. Would I have liked more coverage? Sure, but we all make concessions.

As it’s a week until I hit the latter (better) side of my 30s, the skin-tone glorified lotion may likely not prove to be ambitious enough to cut it. Timid to start the process of finding the right foundation, I was preparing to enlist a makeup artist friend to come over and 'fix' my face. But then, as fateful intervention would have it, Becca ultimate coverage complexion crème came across my desk (got to love the perks of the job). I threw it in my bag at the end of the day, the product not knowing the test it was about to face. I took a shower and applied it at night. It was silky smooth and felt like my tried and true tinted moisturizer. A good sign, but does it cover? I slept on it (the true test is in natural daylight).

I wasn't disappointed – even though light as air, it accomplished the job and beyond. I'm talking everything. Those broken capillaries by the nose? The 'sun' spots on my cheeks? Gone. Not to mention my discolored under eye (I didn't even need concealer). On weekends, I've just been using this on problem areas when I run out for coffee. Oh, and the best part (because it isn't a bargain beauty find): a tiny drop covers the entire face, which, of course, is an added coup when I’m ready for round two.
