When we think of crop tops, lots of things comes to mind—Dirty Dancing, '80s Madonna, The Spice Girls, and that unfortunate early '00s low-rider-pants-and-baby-tee situation (Britney and Christina, we're looking at you).
But red carpets aren't something we really associate with the style—that is, until this month. Last night, Diane Kruger stepped out in a voluminous skirt and an abbreviated button-down, both by Rochas.
And while Diane, Rihanna, and Lea opted to team their shirts with high-waisted bottoms for minimal stomach exposure, Ashley Greene really went for it, wearing a bandeau with her Wes Gordon sheer lace blouse and mid-rise pants.

Consider yourselves warned.
