Michelle Dockery Has Done the Impossible—She's Made Us Want to Wear All-Over Plaid

Even though it's been over 15 years, we tend to still associate plaid with our schoolgirl days of yore. But had our uniforms looked anything like this dual-patterned Altuzarra number Michelle Dockery wore over the weekend, perhaps we'd have warmer, more nostalgic feelings for all things tartan.

Accessorized with bright yellow Christian Louboutin heels and a red-orange Rodo minaudière, Michelle's chic, body-skimming sheath surely turned heads for a few reasons.

1) It fit like a dream and flattered her fantastic figure without being too tight.

2) The color mix was completely captivating and unexpected.

3) That blink-and-you'll-miss-it split on the side was a fun sartorial twist.

Polished yet playful, this entire look was as ladylike and elegant and as it was lively and eccentric. We hope Michelle stays in this vivrant, quasi-sexy lane throughout red carpet season. As you can see, she does quirky quite well.
