Everyone goes through a phase in their life growing up, when they try to emulate something cool, but which ends up backfiring in the worst way. Celebs, as it happens, are not immune to this.
When we chatted with Camila Alves, she let us in on a little incident that happened when she was 13. To this day, she still doesn't understand how the salon let her get her hair cut without a parent present. She says:
Everybody was getting that Chanel haircut. Really short with bangs. I said, 'I want it, I want it,' and my mom was like, 'You're not getting it, don't do it,' so I went by myself to the salon...I got it anyway, and it was horrible. My hair puffed out and the bangs stood right up. The whole time I felt like I had a hat on. Stuck straight out. I'm never doing that again.
Luckily, Camila's hair grew out just fine and she went on to become a model (and marry Matthew McConaughey).
