Before she was landing Vogue covers and starring in George Michael videos, supermodel Cindy Crawford was DeKalb, Illinois' resident golden girl. In 1984, she graduated first in her high school class, earning a scholarship to study chemical engineering at Northwestern. Crawford dropped out soon thereafter—modeling was quite lucrative for her, after all.
