Best and Worst Dressed at the MET's Costume Institute Gala
This year's Met Gala, sponsored by Gap, was dubbed "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity." Some personalities were uniquely stylish while some looks suffered an identity crisis.

The annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of fashion's most anticipated events. Hosted, as always, by the denizens of Vogue magazine, the Met ball is a sartorial feast of mostly inspired regalia. Of course, there are always a few eyebrow raisers.
