Guess How Much $$$ This Two-Pound Bottle of Chanel N°5 Costs?

Is the large-issue 3.4-ounce bottle of Chanel N°5 just not enough for the compulsive scent-spritzer in you? Even though the average gal only goes through about, oh, 1 ounce of her favorite perfume in a year?
Well, get a whiff of this, Chanel's solution to your sticky, er, smelly situation—the super-sized container of the fragrance world, a whopping 30-ounce flacon (the "Grand Extrait") of the fashion house's iconic scent. That's two pounds of Chanel N°5, you guys, and it weighs in at a whopping $4,200 price tag. (Not exactly a Value Size deal, eh?)
Of course, it's not really supposed to be a steal, or honestly, meant to be worn at all, considering scents warp after a few years, let alone three decades. As WSJ reporter Charles Passy argues in a recent Market Watch segment, "This is not really for using. This is a showpiece. This is a $4,200 thing to put on your mantle, or your dresser—or wherever you want to put it—that says, I got a lot of Chanel."
A lot of Chanel.
