Whether you're guest, a bridesmaid, or the star of the show, let Marchesa's spring 2014 bride be proof that it is possible to make a smoky eye look both serene and sophisticated—for even, yes, a wedding!
Here's how Revlon's Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, created the soft, matrimony-inspired eyes backstage at this weekend's bridal show.

To add dimension to the eyes, Westman used a mix of "Bombshell" (a genteel gray) and "Adventurous" (a tonal brown) shadows from Revlon's ColorStay 16H Eye Shadow Quad ($7.49 at drugstores) on the lids.
She used a shimmery white shade (it's available in both of the above palettes) as a highlighter around the eye to brighten and soften the look—plus give it a subtle light-catching sheen. (Hello, perfect wedding photos!)
As for those wispy lashes, she worked a very thin coat of Revlon's ColorStay Liquid Liner in Black ($7.39 at drugstores) into the lash line—beware anything thick will come across as too harsh and, dare we say it, club-y—and created spell-binding length and volume using the brand's new Lash Potion Mascara in Blackest Black ($7.99 at drugstores).
Tell us, would you ever wear a smoky eye to a wedding? What about to your wedding? Take a peek at some more shots from Marchesa's show this weekend and see if, maybe, just maybe, they're enough to persuade you.
