Inside Sephora & Pantone's Color of the Year Party

To kick off their second Color of the Year partnership, Pantone Universe and Sephora threw a big bash inside Louis Vuitton's NYC headquarters building this week — in a space called the "Magic Room." The name, we must say, was quite fitting. As soon as the elevator doors opened to the party floor, we felt just a wee bit like Dorothy when she first set sights on Oz — emerald was everywhere.

While there, we also got a first look at the entire Sephora + Pantone Universe Emerald Capsule Collection — on sale now! — which includes eye palettes, blush, mascara, lip gloss, nail lacquers (with both matte and metallic finishes!), glitter dust, liquid liner, makeup brushes, the list goes on.

Oh, and it's probably worth noting, not every single product is green — but everything is packaged in emerald. Check out some of our favorite picks from the collection, below; plus an insider-y look at the party!

Think emerald isn't versatile? Well, these three Color Grid Shadow Block ($26) will make you think twice. The palettes come in "Bionic," (an emerald, snowy white, and crown blue), "Eclisped" (an emerald glitter, amberlight, and olive-gray), and "Elemental" (an emerald shimmer, appleblossom, and camel).

All of the products were scattered around the room on display in glass centerpieces...

DJ Harley Viera-Newton manned (womanned?) the soundtrack for the night.

This Color Cube Lid Liner Stain ($16) is a 3-in-1 mousse cream that can be used as a shadow, cream liner, or a lid stain — plus, it's paraben-free!

Of course it wouldn't be a party with some champers — and some, uh, eye candy.

The base of these falsies ($10) are lined with emerald glitter.
