Holy smokes! Nicole Richie is that you?
The 31-year-old socialite-turned-fashion-designer stunned at the 2013 Golden Globes last night, swapping her signature bohemian style for a bombshell blue sparkling Naeem Khan gown with (wait for it...) matching metallic smoky eyes!
To reflect Richie's maturing style—flashbacks to her Simple Life looks, anyone?—and the retro glamour echoed in her collections, makeup artist Beau Nelson went for a more refined look, rich in color.
Dying over her elegantly ethereal look, too? Check out Nelson's step-by-step tutorial below—Complete with the exact Elizabeth Arden products he used!—to get the look at home. The best part? Not one single thing is more than $50!
Step 1: First, prep your face with Visible Difference Optimizing Skin Serum ($49.50) and lips with Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant ($19.50) to allow for a more even makeup application. (A super-important step you don't want to skip!)
Step 2: Apply Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup in "Toasty Beige" ($36.50) on the face and under the eyes. Tap in the diamond-infused formula with your fingers to create a more natural, air-brushed look—and hide those dreaded dark circles.
Step 3: Dab Beautiful Color Brow Shaper & Eyeliner in "Soft Blonde" ($22) on your eyebrows to add subtle definition. Then swipe it along the crease of your eye to add depth and dimension.
Step 4: Apply the Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in "Sky" ($18.50) over your eyelid with a flat eye shadow brush, making sure to press the pigment firmly onto your eyelid for the boldest beautiful blue hue.

Step 5: Complement your blue shadow with the Beautiful Color Smoky Eyes Pencil in "Midnight" ($18). Line it on your top and bottom lash lines, smudging it slightly for that desired smoky effect.
Step 6: Curl your lashes and apply two coats of Beautiful Color Maximum Volume Black Mascara ($19.50). To make your lashes look feathery and light like Richie's, saturate the base of your lashes with the most color.
Step 7: To get glowy skin, sweep Color Intrigue Bronzing Powder Duo ($34) over your face in what Nelson calls a “Reverse 3” motion—start at the forehead, move to the bottom of the cheekbone and down toward the jawline. Use a smaller brush to dab Ceramide Cream Blush in "Nectar' slightly under your cheekbone. Blend outward to really make your cheeks pop.
Step 8: Last but not least, using your fingers, apply a hint of Elizabeth Arden's Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in "Cameo" ($22.50). Dab the color for a natural, full-pouted look, and voila!
