Season after season, New York-based designer Reem Acra's collections are the embodiment of American glamour—her gowns and day dresses strut and sparkle down the runway, and whenever the Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, and Grammys roll around, Acra's eveningwear is well-represented on the A-list red carpet.
If you're not sure you'll ever have an occasion to wear a Reem Acra gown—you can still own a Reem Acra creation. Say hello to Reem Acra's first-ever fragrance, which launches this month at Saks Fifth Avenue and other department stores.
"When designing, I always strive to make women look and feel beautiful," Acra says. "Perfume is a more intimate, yet subtle, way of achieving that. A fragrance can create a mood, inspire confidence, and, in an instant, transform the way a woman looks and feels. It is truly magical."
The Eau de Parfum, which was inspired by Acra's childhood memories of collecting amber in the forests in Lebanon, fuses notes of amber, orange blossom, pear and bergamot at the top, ginger, jasmine, lily of the valley, and peony at its heart, and a dry-down of amber, cedar, patchouli, and warm musk.
Sound lush and luxurious? It is.
Reem Acra Eau de Parfum is available now for pre-order—priced from $90 to $125—from Saks Fifth Avenue.
