Hayden Panettiere Makes a Case for Bold Brows

Seeing that your eyes are the window to your soul (er, that's what they say anyway, no?), we're sure you're already devoting all the time and TLC your peepers deserve each and every morning—a pat of eye cream here, a flutter of mascara there, a lot of under-eye concealer everywhere.
But what about your brows? Are you giving them your undivided attention, as well? Well, Hayden Panettiere is here to serve as your friendly little reminder: All that window-washing and priming equals diddily-squat without a good curtain to frame them. Catch our drift? (We're talking brow maintenance, people!)
The actress gave us all a lesson in brow artistry at the Giorgio Armani menswear show in Milan today. Just look at those full, thick (but not bushy!) arches...

Here are a few pointers on brow sculpting to get you started on your new routine:
FIND YOUR START: The head of your eyebrow should begin at the bridge of your nose. Put a pencil vertically along your nose bone to nail down exactly where to start. And make sure the end is cleaned and squared off—never round!
NAIL THE ARCH: The arch of your brow should be placed approximately 2/3 of the way down toward your temple. If you're not sure where that is, use the pencil again and line it up over the outside of your iris—your arch goes there.
END THE TAIL: The tail should end on an imaginary line (use your pencil again if needed) from the corner of your nose to the corner of the eye. It's okay if it goes a little longer, but you don't want it to fall lower than where the head starts. (It'll make your eyes look droopy, eek!) Taper it off to a crisp point.
PENCIL VS. POWDER: Last but not least, you'll want a good filler to accentuate the eye. Celebrity eyebrow stylist Joey Healy recommends using a pencil (like Joey Healy Brow Architect Stylo, $25 at JoeyHealy.com) if you need to sharpen your arch, extend your tail, or cover obvious gaps. Powders, on the other end, he says, work best for "turning up the volume" in terms of shape. Plus, they're easier to work with because you can build the color. Try investing in a palette, like Bobbi Brown's Brow Kit ($47 at BergdorfGoodman.com).
Okay, one last ogle of Panettiere's perfect set, then it's off to tend to our brows! You?
