Four Translucent Powders To Try Right Now

(Source: Make Up Forever; Shisheido)Translucent powder is one beauty product we often forget, but it's also one of the most important. A good finishing powder not only improves the overall look of your foundation and makeup, but it helps to blot out any oily, shiny spots. Whether you prefer a pressed or loose form, we rounded up some of our favorite powders to add to your beauty bag ASAP.

BareMinerals READY Touch Up Translucent Veil Broad Spectrum SPF 15 ($22) used to only be available in the powder form, but now it comes in the handy pressed compact, which means we can take it everywhere. The powder is super lightweight and gives great coverage, plus there's an added SPF for great sun protection.

It's not as stellar at setting foundation as some pricier products, but when it comes to banishing shine, it does the trick.
(Source: Wet n Wild)If loose powder is more of your style, Shisheido's Translucent Loose Powder ($35) might just be what you need. The colorless powder goes on silky smooth and actually helps with the appearance of pores. Plus, it also helps to maintain skin's moisture.

A couple brushes all over the face post-foundation blots away any oily residue. And for all you out there looking for a powder that doubles as an anti-aging tool, meet your new best friend. The HD Pressed Powder actually softens the appearance of fine lines and pores.

CoverGirl's TruMagic skin perfector ($8.94) is an oil-free balm that is non-greasy and works as a primer or finish. Dab a little on any shiny areas and watch them instantly disappear. You can also blend over foundation for a refined matte look.
