Just a few months ago, it looked the like can't-be-tamed 19-year-old was on her way up. The world exploded with excitement and shock when she and Liam Hemsworth announced their engagement on June 6, 2012.
The pairing looked happy as ever at an Australian benefit dinner on June 27 (right), but things started to take a weird turn, just weeks thereafter.
Over the past month Cyrus has bleached, chopped, bleached some more, and all but shaved her once-ombre locks. And she swapped out dainty jewelry and heels for spiky chain necklaces and clunky combat boots.
Is this the look of a bride in panic? All we can say is we hope she's okay...
