Julianne Hough's Edgy Fauxhawk
Would you believe us if we told you the inspiration for Julianne Hough's edgy Golden Globes 'do came from Pinterest—it's true! Whodathunk?

"Basically her dress was so pretty and beautiful, we wanted to give it a more of an edge," said celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri, who used UNITE haircare products on the star's rocker-cool style.

Check out the secrets she shared to DIY'ing the daring the look on your own:

Step 1: First Capri washed Hough's hair with UNITE Blonda Shampoo ($26.25) and Blonda Conditioner ($28.75) to invigorate her bright-blond color. Then she soaked the star's locks in 7Seconds Leave-In Conditioner ($26.25) for radiant shine.

Step 2: Next, Capri rough-dried the hair all over, using a blow-dryer and round brush up top for lots of volume.

Step 3: Next, Capri sprinkled in Expanda Dust Volumizing Powder ($26.25) and teased the crown to create a lot of body up top—without the crunchy hairspray texure.

Step 4: To create the fauxhawk, Capri twisted back two sections from the teased crown, cross-pinning hair in place back and forth, left and right, to lock the look in place.

Step 5: Finally, she spritzed UNITE Session Max Super-Strong Hairspray ($25) all over, and finished up with UNITE Shina Mist ($26.25) for camera-ready shine.
